Shaolin saying:
Run before you Fight,
Fight before you Injure,
Injure before you Maim,
Maim before you Kill.
The essence of this saying is that when one chooses to protect oneself, one must do so using only the minimum amount of force necessary to achieve that goal.
Remember the first rule, respect all life!
