Re-established Chow Wuyi Dao Modified Gung Fu's® principles, movements and philosophies have their origins in the East, but through decades of development, brought in the influences of the West. Therefore, making Chow Wuyi Dao Modified Gung Fu® a system of its time; borrowing, adapting and implementing the very best from the very best.

Chow Wuyi Dao Modified Gung Fu (JKD)® uses the very essence of Sijo Bruce Lee's JKD during its training, but does not seek to change, nor corrupt the purity of JKD, but rather integrate its principle philosophies and movements.

Special Notice

On Wednesday, the 06th of August 2008, a friend, mentor, teacher, brother and ... DeWelle F. (Skip) Ellsworth, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on the Island of Cebu, the Philippinnes.

He was a true and great friend to many and will be missed by us all. May he rest in peace with the knowledge that he and his memory will live on through his Legacy, the "Skip Ellsworth Memorial Fund"!

As further Tribute, Chow Wuyi Dao Modified Gung Fu (JKD), will from this day forward be Dedicated to the Memory of its Honourary Re-establishing Founder, Skip Ellsworth.

CWDMGF (JKD) Asian Representative, Hon. Sifu Shiva Bahadur Thapa, Nepal, has changed his Club's name and re-consituted the "Jeet Kune Do Martial Arts Association" name to NJKDMAA.

Chow Wuyi Dao Modified Gung Fu (JKD)® practitoners are allowed to start instructing at the first awarded Disciple Third Rank Level-Black Sash, but are not issued Instructor Certificates, or called "Instructors".

At this time, only the Re-establishing Founder of Chow Wuyi Dao Modified Gung Fu (JKD)® may award ranks above Disciple Third Rank Level-Black Sash.
